Host Families Wanted

Several host families for a 2 week host family experience.  The youth will be in our area for 1 month and will need 2 families each for 2 weeks.  This is during July and August and the exact dates vary.  This is a great way to learn about other cultures and to teach our culture to foreign exchange students.  If you are interested in being a host family contact Kathy Schumer kshoom@comcast.net

Piano Hospital Gets New Tree

Fort Vancouver Lions helped the local chapter of Friends of the Trees plant 125 trees in Vancouver this past weekend.  Although it was cold and raining (was that snow?) we had a great time.  One of the recipients of a new tree was the Piano Hospital in Vancouver.  They had a too large tree removed last year and had a dwarf tree planted this year.  Got to love those dwarf trees!  Clean up at the Piano Hospital will be much easier this spring!
