The Fort Vancouver Lions are always looking for service minded individuals to join our Club. We stand by our motto “We Serve” and support our local community in many ways. If you are looking to join a fun, exciting, and adventures group of people come and check out one of our weekly meetings.
The Fort Vancouver Lions meet every Friday at noon Bill’s Chicken & Steak House, 2200 St. Johns Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661. We meet in the banquet room behind the main restaurant.
Free parking is available in the West lot or on the street, enter through the door on the north, which is on the rear side of the building.
There are 3 pre-selected meal options from their menu and one menu item that changes each week. Our meetings are open to any and all people interested in community service, join us for lunch. For first time guests the lunch is on us.
The late bell rings at 12:00 PM when the Tail Twister takes center stage, giving the membership an opportunity to share Happy Bucks. Promptly at 12:20 a short amount of time is spent on business items. Starting at 12:35 we have an interesting Speaker or Program that will inform club members on other non-profits, items of community interest, a fun place to go, or other items that inquiring minds want to know. We promise to finish no later than 1:00 following a 50/50 drawing.
Board of Directors Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Fridays before the general meeting at 10:30 am. Contact President Adam Hegewald if you have an item to bring before the board, we try to keep the meeting to one hour and it helps the agenda.
5th Friday Evening Meeting
When a 5th Friday occurs we have an evening meeting or fun night. This allows members that are unable to attend noon meetings a chance to enjoy some Lion fellowship. These meeting will always be fun – the last one was a Bunco night. We are open to suggestions from club members – options might be local tours, game nights, sporting nights, picnics, or other fun events. Bring your suggestions to the Board.
